  • 2017-18 VaSID Academic All-State Team Announced

    The 2017-18 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team was released and 217 student-athletes from 37 colleges and universities across the Commonwealth were recognized.
  • R-MC Breaks Record with 203 on ODAC All-Academic Team

    Randolph-Macon College had a school-record 203 student-athletes named to the 2017-18 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Academic Team.
  • Six Tennis Student-Athletes Recognized For Academic Achievement

    Six Randolph-Macon tennis student-athletes were honored Tuesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for their efforts in the classroom. On the women’s side, recent graduates Sarah Hinson (Nashville, N.C. / Northern Nash) and Tory Stribling (Troy, Va. / Fluvanna County) were honored, as were rising seniors Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) and Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary) and rising junior Kristin Dantzler (Williamsburg, Va. / York). On the men’s side, graduate Baxter Carter (Richmond, Va. / St. Christopher's School) was recognized on the scholar-athlete rolls
  • Four Named To All-State Team

    A pair of Randolph-Macon women’s tennis doubles teams have won honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors. The duo of Junior Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) and sophomore Kristen Dantzler (Williamsburg, Va. / York) along with the duo of junior Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary) and freshman Olivia Uzer (McLean, Va. / Langley) both won slots on the VaSID All-State Second Team in the women’s tennis. The team is selected by members of VaSID, the Commonwealth’s organization of athletic communications professionals.
  • Tersigni Earns Scholar-Athlete Of Year, Four Others Named All-ODAC

    Junior Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s top scholar-athlete and three other Yellow Jackets were honored as All-ODAC competitors. Randolph-Macon recently wrapped up a 12-4 season, going 10-1 in the ODAC.
  • Women’s Tennis Bows Out Of Tourney To VWU

    Second-seeded Randolph-Macon bowed out of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament to seventh-seeded Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday afternoon 5-1. The match, which was played to decision, ends the team’s season with a final record of 12-4.
  • Women’s Tennis Closes Season With Win At Hollins

    Randolph-Macon women’s tennis closed the 2018 campaign with a 6-3 victory at Hollins on Sunday afternoon. R-MC has secured the second seed in the upcoming Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, finishing the season 12-3 overall and 10-1 in the ODAC.
  • Women's Tennis To Host VWU On Tuesday

    Randolph-Macon women's tennis has earned the second seed in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament, which is set to begin next week. Randolph-Macon will host the seventh-seeded Virginia Wesleyan Marlins on Tuesday. A time will be announced at a later date. 
  • Hinson, Williams and Stribling Push R-MC to Victory

    Senior Sarah Hinson (Nashville, N.C. / Northern Nash) and juniors Tory Stribling (Troy, Va. / Fluvanna County) and Abigail Williams (Palmyra, Va. / Fluvanna County) won their entire slate of matches in what was the final home contest of their careers as the Yellow Jackets defeated Guilford 8-1 in conference action on Saturday afternoon. Williams’ win is the first of her collegiate career.
  • In Battle For Second, Women’s Tennis Defeats Lynchburg

    Randolph-Macon helped make its case to be the No. 2 team in the postseason as it defeated Lynchburg 6-3 Friday afternoon in Ashland. The two were battling to get the head-to-head advantage in the event of a potential tie in the final ODAC standings. Lynchburg ended its season today while R-MC still has two matches to finalize its standing heading into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference next week.
  • Women's Tennis Against Lynchburg Postponed

    ASHLAND, Va. -- The Women's Tennis match slated with Lynchburg on Tuesday, April 24 has been postponed due to forecasted rains in the area. A makeup date has not yet been set.  Randolph-Macon is 9-3  on the season, including 7-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The team is also slated to play Guilford this week in a makeup from earlier this season. The team also has an outstanding date with Hollins that has been postponed, with the makeup date still to be decided. 
  • Tennis Schedule Changes To Close Out Regular Season

    Rain has been an issue all season for the Randolph-Macon Men's and Women's Tennis teams -- with the last week of the season being no exception. To close out the season, R-MC will play four matches in four days, three of which were originally scheduled for earlier in the season. 
  • Women’s Tennis Snags Important Conference Win

    Randolph-Macon women’s tennis snagged an important conference victory over Roanoke 5-4 Saturday afternoon at the Banks Tennis Center in Ashland, Va. Junior Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) and sophomores Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary) and Kristin Dantzler (Williamsburg, Va. / York) did not lose on the afternoon to ensure R-MC got the victory, moving to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference while Roanoke fell to 12-5 overall and 7-4 in the conference.
  • Women’s Tennis Tops Randolph 5-4

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Tennis topped Randolph College 5-4 Saturday afternoon in Lynchburg. R-MC moved to 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while Randolph dropped to 8-5 and 5-4 in the conference.
  • Aud, Uzer, Hinson Win Close Matches To Give Women’s Tennis Big Win

    With Randolph-Macon up 4-2, sophomore Landon Aud (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) and freshman Olivia Uzer (McLean, Va. / Langley) both edged out their Marlin competition to push R-MC over the hump and help secure the Randolph-Macon victory 7-2. Randolph-Macon moves to 7-3 on the season and 5-1 in the conference while VWU falls to 8-7 and 3-4 in the conference.
  • Women’s Tennis Tops Vixens

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Tennis won up and down the lineup, topping the Sweet Briar Vixens 7-2 Tuesday afternoon at the Gymnasium Tennis Courts in Sweet Briar.  Randolph-Macon advances to 6-3 on the season and 4-1 in the ODAC while SBC drops to 5-10 on the season and 1-7 in the ODAC.
  • Women’s Tennis Sweeps Wasps

    Randolph-Macon won up and down the lineup Sunday afternoon as the team returned to action after two weeks off the court. But the break didn’t take anything off the edge of the Yellow Jackets (5-3, 3-1 ODAC) as the team took a 9-0 decision from Emory & Henry (3-8, 0-5 ODAC).

    Randolph-Macon's Tennis Fundraiser, set for Saturday, April 7, has been postponed because of impending weather impacting Virginia this weekend. The fundraiser will be rescheduled to a new date this spring.

    Senior Sarah Hinson (Nashville, N.C. / Northern Nash) and sophomore Landon Aud (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) defeated their Shorewomen opponents Sunday afternoon, but Washington College was able to take the rest of the slate and defeated the Yellow Jackets 8-1 in Sunday afternoon non-conference action at the Banks Tennis Center.
  • Women’s Tennis Sneak By Bridgewater

    Randolph-Macon’s Women’s Tennis sneaked by Bridgewater College with a 5-4 victory Saturday afternoon in conference action at the Banks Tennis Center. R-MC (4-2, 2-1 ODAC) won two of three doubles matches and three of six singles matches to walk away winners over the Eagles (6-4, 3-1 ODAC)

    The Randolph-Macon Men's and Women's Tennis matches against Centre scheduled for this afternoon have been canceled and will not be made up. This is due to the ice and snow conditions at the Banks Tennis Center. 
  • Yeager, Wadsworth Blank Hornets In Singles As Team Goes 9-0

    Sophomore Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary) and freshman Isabel Wadsworth (Lake Wales, Fla. / Lake Wales) blanked their Hornet opponents in #2 and #6 Singles action on Sunday afternoon. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference match was the second of the season for the Yellow Jackets. With the win, the teams moves to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in the ODAC.
  • #14 Generals Best Yellow Jackets 8-1 in ODAC Action Tuesday

    Freshman Olivia Uzer (McLean, Va. / Langley) won her match against her competitor from #14 Washington and Lee, but the Generals were able to get wins in the other eight matches and won the team match 8-1 in the conference opener for the women’s tennis team on Tuesday afternoon at the Banks Tennis Center in Ashland.

    The impeding weather forecast for the latter half of the weekend has forced a schedule change for the men’s and women’s tennis teams. The matches scheduled for Sunday against Guilford at 12:00 PM will be postponed to a later date. The new date will be announced when finalized.

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Tennis swept the visiting Nittany Lions from Penn State-Abington 9-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Banks Tennis Center. Both junior Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) and freshman Olivia Uzer (McLean, Va. / Langley) did not cede a single set all day.
