Tersigni Earns Scholar-Athlete Of Year, Four Others Named All-ODAC

FOREST, Va. – Junior Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va. / York) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's top scholar-athlete and three other Yellow Jackets were honored as All-ODAC competitors. Randolph-Macon recently wrapped up a 12-4 season, going 10-1 in the ODAC.

Tersigni was named the conferences' ODAC/Va. Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete after going 8-5 in singles this season, all from the #1 spot. Tersigni was also 10-5 in doubles play this season, including 4-2 from the #1 doubles spot. She maintains a 3.97 grade point average in her business management minor with a minor in English. She has been on the All-ODAC Academic Team each year she's been at R-MC. Tersigni serves as the President of R-MC's chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) leadership honor society. She is also a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics), Sigma Beta Delta (business), and Gamma Sigma Alpha (Greek life) honor societies. She earned the Dr. Gerd A. Gillhoff Award as a student who demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the study of German language and culture.

Tersigni was also honored as a First Team All-ODAC #1 doubles selection alongside partner sophomore Kristin Dantzler (Williamsburg, Va. / York). The duo went 4-2, all from the #1 doubles spot, including 4-1 in ODAC play. Overall this season, Dantzler was 9-6 in doubles play.

Duo of junior Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary) and freshman Olivia Uzer (McLean, Va. / Langley) were also honored as All-ODAC First Team selections at #2 doubles. The pair won five matches this season in the conference in their flight. Overall this season, Yeager was 10-5 in doubles while Uzer went 11-2.

Sophomore Landon Aud (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) was also named to an All-ODAC squad. She earned Second Team recognition at #5 singles. Aud was 11-3 this season, including 8-3 from the #5 spot. She was 8-2 in the ODAC this season.
