    Randolph-Macon College had a school-record 263 student-athletes named to the 2019-20 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Academic Team.
  • Women’s Volleyball Earns National Academic Award

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball earned national academic accolades it was announced late Monday afternoon. The team was one of 1,313 across all divisions and levels of play, which was a new record for the awarding organization, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). The AVCA presents the awards alongside the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
  • Phi Beta Kappa Welcomes 13 R-MC Student-Athletes

    Randolph-Macon College had 36 students elected to membership into the Zeta Chapter of Virginia of Phi Beta Kappa and 13 were student-athletes, the largest number of student-athletes in recent years.

    The Randolph-Macon women’s volleyball program will compete against eight teams in 2020 that reached beyond conference tournament play, while once again looking at remaining a dominant force atop the Old Dominion Athletic Conference following a 25-9 overall and perfect 12-0 record in the conference a season ago.

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball sophomore Sydney Koch (Raleigh, N.C. / Sanderson) earned an All-State recognition by the Virginia Sports Information Directors it was announced Monday morning. Koch landed on the All-State Second Team for her efforts this season.

    Randolph-Macon sophomore Sydney Koch (Raleigh, N.C. / Sanderson) was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, it was announced Tuesday. The honor follows up the organization naming her to its All-South Region squad.
  • Women’s Volleyball Comeback Bid Falls Short In First Round of NCAA Tournament

    Down 2-0, Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball mounted a comeback, earning a set win in the third set and held Marymount at bay for much of the fourth set, but the Saints were able to overcome the deficit to win and advance in the NCAA Tournament.

    Randolph-Macon sophomore Sydney Koch (Raleigh, N.C. / Sanderson) earned an All-South Region selection, it was announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association Thursday afternoon. Koch recently wrapped up a regular season that earned her All-ODAC First Team honors.

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball placed seven student-athletes on the All-ODAC rolls, the most of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference volleyball squad this year. But the Yellow Jackets were not able to overcome a Virginia Wesleyan push as the Marlins earned their first ODAC Championship.
  • Parker Named Rookie of the Year; Seven Picked To All-ODAC Squads

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball freshman Grace Parker (Andover, N.J. / Pope John XXIII) earned Rookie of the Year honors while six others were named to All-ODAC squads as the Yellow Jackets led the way in the postseason accolades. The seven honors were the most of any team this season and the most for any Yellow Jacket team in recent memory.

    Senior Miranda Hall (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) had 14 kills, one of three Yellow Jackets in double-figures, as the top-seeded Randolph-Macon women’s volleyball team outlasted fifth-seeded Washington and Lee 3-1 in the semifinals of the 2019 ODAC Championship.
  • Latest Regional Ranking Slots Women's Volleyball Fourth

    Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball has been slotted fourth in the latest edition of the NCAA South Regional Rankings. The Regional Rankings are a metric which uses team wins and opponent wins and losses among other criteria to rank teams within eight regions across the country. R-MC has been ranked in each Regional Ranking this year. The year will culminate in the selection committee placing 64 teams in the NCAA Tournament to conclude the season. 
  • Loewe Keeps Side In For 17 Straight Points as Women's Volleyball Advances in ODAC Tournament

    Randolph-Macon junior Mackenzie Loewe (Leonardtown, Md. / St. Mary's Ryken) pushed Randolph-Macon to 17 straight points in service after leading off the second set as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Randolph WildCats Wednesday night in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Quarterfinals.

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball claimed its sixth straight regular season Old Dominion Athletic Conference title Wednesday evening. The title came via a victory against ODAC foe Bridgewater. The win earns R-MC hosting rights throughout the ODAC Tournament.

    Randolph-Macon freshman outside hitter Grace Parker (Andover, N.J. / Pope John XXIII) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week nod it was announced Monday afternoon. Parker earned the honor after a 4-1 week for the Yellow Jackets, in which Parker averaged 3.0 kills/set. She and senior Bailey Jones (Suffolk, Va. / Norfolk Collegiate) were also honored by the coaches of the Colorado College Invitational as members of the All-Tournament team.

    Randolph-Macon Women’s Volleyball senior Bailey Jones (Suffolk, Va. / Norfolk Collegiate) collected 36 kills, setting two career-highs, as Randolph-Macon faced a pair of unique opponents in the Colorado College Invitational. Both midwestern foes fell as the Yellow Jackets won in the pair of hard-contested matches in Colorado Springs.

    Women’s Volleyball attacked with a better than .300 hitting percentage in the first two sets Tuesday night, helping the Yellow Jackets to stay unbeaten in the conference and handed the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins their first conference loss. Two Yellow Jackets got into double-figures for kills while Old Dominion Athletic Conference reigning Player of the Week Sydney Koch (Raleigh, N.C. / Sanderson) had another errorless match, making three in a row for the sophomore.
