LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team fell in its second affair of the Fall season Saturday, losing 9-0 on the road at Washington and Lee in the early afternoon.
Washington and Lee jumped out to the quick 3-0 lead after taking each of the three doubles points in the new format adopted this season. Lucas Dunlop and Max Hammock looked strong at No. 1 doubles for Randolph-Macon, but fell 8-6 to Eerb and Brady of Washington and Lee.
Dunlop looked good at No. 1 singles as well, but fell 6-2, 6-4. Hammock had the same result on the second singles court, just inverted at 6-4, 6-2. The Generals were able to complete the 9-0 sweep as the first two singles matches were the final two to finish in Lexington.
Head Coach Charles Gray and his bunch have a quick turnaround as they are back in action in just under 24 hours after the completion of today's match. The Yellow Jackets will play hosts to Hood back in Ashland Sunday, September 24 in a 1:00 p.m. start.
