
ASHLAND, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon men’s tennis team beat ODAC rival Bridgewater College 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets earned two points from the 2nd and 3rd doubles heading into singles play. Max Hammock (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and Braxton Fagan (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) won at two doubles 8-4. Max Doyle (Alexandria, Va./St. John's College) and Mitch Herman (Fairfax, Va./Flint Hill) secured the second point by winning 8-1 at third doubles. Max Hammock won 6-1 6-1 in the second singles line and Max Presley (Hilton Head, S.C./Goochland) gutted out a win 1-6 6-3 (10-5) in a tiebreaker at sixth singles. The win moves RMC to 4-1 heading into a rivalry contest against Hampden-Sydney on Thursday in Farmville, Va.
