Women's Soccer Falls Just Short to No. 1 CNU on the Road

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Randolph-Macon women's soccer came up short to No. 1 Christopher Newport Wednesday night, falling 1-0 on the road at CNU Soccer Stadium. The tilt was knotted up at 0-0 through the first 45 minutes, but the Captains found a goal off of a set piece in the 74th minute to break the tie.

  • Christopher Newport broke through in the 74th minute via a Kyleigh Gough header from a set piece.
  • Randolph-Macon had two good looks in the final 10 minutes, but the Yellow Jackets were unable to find the equalizer down the stretch.
