
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Randolph-Macon women's tennis finished off the weekend with a 8-1 win against the Meredith Avenging Angels on Sunday. The Jackets were dominant in doubles, sweeping the Angels. Freshmen Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) put in a dominant performance with a 8-0 victory at first doubles. In singles play, Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) put Randolph-Macon in position to clinch the match with her 6-1 6-0 victory at sixth singles. Catherine Mowry clinched the match at third singles with a 6-1 6-1 victory. Randolph-Macon moves to 4-2 on the season heading into next Saturday's clash against York College at 1:00 p.m.
