
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Randolph-Macon women's tennis routed Catholic University with a 9-0 victory on Sunday. The Yellow Jackets swept doubles, picking up all three points. In singles play, RMC pulled out several close matches at 5th and 6th spots to close out the match. Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) came from behind at fifth singles securing a 3-6, 6-4, 10-1 tiebreaker win. At the sixth singles spot, Becky Villeda (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) gutted out a 6-3, 7-5 win to put the ninth point on the board for RMC. The Yellow Jackets are now 7-2 Heading into Wednesday's contest against ODAC rival Lynchburg College.
